Metro has welcomed today’s announcement by the Tasmanian Government that it has finalised an agreement with Cubic Transportation Systems to provide a statewide smart ticketing system for public transport across Tasmania.
CEO Katie Cooper said this was an exciting milestone for the project.
“The introduction of a contemporary integrated ticketing system will greatly benefit the travelling public and make it easier for everyone to use public transport,” she said.
The new ticketing system, along with the real time tracking which the government is rolling out, will be a real game changer for Tasmanians
