Metro is advising passengers to check before travelling over the Easter break as there are a
number of alterations to services.
Metro’s Chief Executive Officer Heather Haselgrove said today passengers wishing to use
Metro bus services between Good Friday 18 April, 2014 and Easter Tuesday 22 April should
check the Metro website or ring the Metro information line for timetables and temporary
service alternations.
On Good Friday Metro will operate Sunday/Public Holiday timetables in Hobart and
Launceston and there will be no Metro services in Burnie.
Buses will run to normal Saturday timetables on Saturday 19 April in Hobart, Launceston
and Burnie. On Easter Sunday 20 April and Easter Monday 21 April Metro will operate to
Sunday/Public Holiday timetables in Hobart and Launceston but there will be no services in
Burnie on those days.
Metro will operate normal weekday vacation timetables (no school bus only services) in
Hobart, Launceston and Burnie on Easter Tuesday 22 April, Wednesday 23 April and
Thursday 24 April.
On ANZAC Day Metro will operate on a Sunday/Public Holiday timetable in Hobart and
Launceston but there will be no services in Burnie.
The Metro Shop in Hobart will be closed for the Easter break and reopening on Wednesday
23 April. The Launceston and Burnie customer service desks will be closed and reopen on
the Wednesday 23 April.
