Metro is pleased to be supporting our friends at SPEAK UP! Stay ChatTY again for this year’s Shorts Day on Friday 21 June.

21 June is the shortest day of the year. To spark conversations about mental health, SPEAK UP! Stay ChatTY encourages everyone to #BraveTheCold and wear shorts.

To help promote Shorts Day, more than 50 Metro buses across Tasmania are displaying posters.

Today, Metro team members wore their shorts to brave the cold and the conversation about mental health in support SPEAK UP! Stay ChatTY‘s Shorts Day.

It was wonderful to see our team members proudly wearing their shorts to support this cause. Well done to everyone who participated! Your involvement is crucial in helping to normalize conversations about mental health.

SPEAK UP! Stay ChatTY does crucial work across Tasmania to promote positive mental health and prevent suicide by reducing stigma and encouraging people to seek help. Their website is a valuable resource for mental health support services and information. Additionally, Metro employees can access support through our Employee Assistance Program, Converge.
