Metro Tasmania is a state owned company established in 1998 that operates bus services in Hobart, Launceston and Burnie. Our vision is to be an attractive travel option which contributes to an integrated public transport network in Tasmania.

We pride ourselves on providing outstanding customer service and are looking for an enthusiastic Team Leader Customer Service to lead our team based in the Hobart CBD.

Reporting to the State Customer Services Manager, this role will lead and develop Metro’s Customer Service Team to achieve best practice customer service operations, through its face to face, telephone and electronic customer service channels.

Key duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • provide timely resolution of customer queries including compliments and complaints in accordance with the Metro Customer Service Charter;
  • induct, develop and support a team delivering front line customer services to ensure resolution of enquiries, complaints and request for services in accordance with the Metro Customer Service Charter;
  • monitor trends and the changing needs of Metro customer service, liaising with internal and external customers to identify areas for improvement;
  • make recommendations for service improvement and implement those improvements to the satisfaction of internal and external customers; and
  • prepare information, reports and documentation as required for reporting periods and as determined as appropriate by the State Customer Services Manager.

  • the ability to deal with sensitive and confidential matters with diplomacy and tact.
