An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior HS&W Advisor to join our team at Metro Tasmania. The role can be located at either the Hobart or Launceston depots.
We are searching for an experienced and motivated senior health and safety professional to assist with the design, development and implementation of Metro’s work, health and safety programs, policies, procedures, standards and Safety Management System (SMS).
The Position
Reporting to the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Manager, you will be responsible for;
- the provision of specialist health and safety advice across the business;
- lead and/or case manage WHS&E incident investigations including the development of investigation tools and methodologies and investigation reports;
- partner with our leaders on key HSE performance areas such as continuous improvement, timely reporting, injury prevention and HSE culture;
- case management of fitness for work plans; and
- development and delivery of company specific training and awareness programs based on identified training gaps and business operational requirements.

The successful person will:
- be a passionate health and safety practitioner;
- be a resilient, critical thinker and a flexible problem solver at an operational and strategic level;
- have a demonstrated ability to partner with employees and supervisors at all levels throughout the organisation;
- have high-level written communication skills enabling the production of documents that are clear, accurate and concise;
- have proven experience in driving a strong safety culture resulting in improved safety performance; and
- work effectively in a multi discipline team environment.
