Metro Tasmania Pty Ltd is a state owned company established in 1998 that operates bus services in Hobart, Launceston and Burnie. Our vision is to be an attractive travel option which contributes to an integrated public transport network in Tasmania.

We pride ourselves on providing outstanding customer service and are looking for an experienced Senior Customer Services Consultant to join our team, in an exciting new position based in the Hobart CBD.

Reporting to the Customer Service Team Leader, the role will assist in the development and leadership of our Customer Service Team to achieve best practice customer service operations, through its face to face, telephone and electronic customer service channels.

Key duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Support the Customer Service Team leader and Customer Service Consultants to achieve performance targets in handling customer enquiries and processing Greencard applications.
  • Monitor the changing needs of Metro customer service, liaising with internal and external customers to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for service improvement.
  • Assist the Customer Service Team Leader to lead, train and support the team to deliver front line customer service in accordance with the Metro Customer Service Charter.
  • Ensure established procedures are followed for each customer enquiry.

To apply for this role you should have high-level interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, have sound leadership and customer relationship management experience. Knowledge and understanding of public transport operations and procedures is highly desirable.
