Metro Tasmania Pty Ltd is a state owned company established in 1998 that operates bus services in Hobart, Launceston and Burnie. Our vision is to be an attractive travel option which contributes to an integrated public transport network in Tasmania.

Reporting to the General Manager People and Safety, this role will provide two main functions for Metro – Records Management and Risk and Compliance.

Key duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • the ongoing development, implementation and maintenance of Metro’s organisation-wide information management policies and procedures that comply with the Archives Act 1983 and Tasmanian Archive and Heritage Office policies, including the provisions of advice to internal stakeholders;
  • the ongoing development and management of Metro’s corporate risk and compliance program, including the oversight and management of departmental risk registers and compliance plans; and
  • assist with the ongoing management of Metro’s compliance obligations, including organisation-wide reporting requirements and the alignment of Metro risk and compliance program with its corporate plan.

To apply for this role you should have:

  • demonstrated experience in compliance and record keeping or archives management;
  • demonstrated capacity to work effectively both individually and in a small team environment; and
  • strong work ethic with an ability to meet competing demands in a multi facet working environment.
