Project Manager – Drive Transformation at Metro Tasmania

Metro Tasmania is seeking an experienced and visionary Project Manager to join our newly established Project Management Office. What you’ll do: The Project Manager is responsible for leading, planning, executing and overseeing the delivery of projects across Metro, with a focus on projects identified in the organisation’s ICT Strategic Plan. The role will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that project objectives are met within defined timelines, budget and scope.Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and manage projects, including project planning, system implementation, project time, cost and quality management, management of risks and issues, and project tracking and reporting.
  • Work closely with project sponsors, cross-functional teams and assigned project resources to ensure projects are successfully managed through to completion within defined timelines.
  • Undertake business change management and business process change tasks, including coordinating and communicating the transition of project-related solutions into business-as-usual operations across all sites (Hobart, Launceston, and Burnie).
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of projects, and provide project status reports to stakeholders and steering committees regarding business, technology, and project issues emerging from the projects undertaken.
  • Manage project-related vendors and contracts.
