Are you known as a business savvy, service oriented HR professional with a commitment to accomplishing tangible business improvement?

Following an internal promotion, we are looking for an experienced, change-loving People and Culture superstar to be a Business Partner for our Southern Region Operations.

Collegiate in your approach, you’ll be just as comfortable looking at the big picture while getting things done at an operational level. Reporting directly to the Manager People and Culture, you’ll work closely with the Operations Manager South and Business Partner Nth, providing senior level, generalist HR coaching and IR advice and case management for complex issues.

The role is located at our Hobart Depot and at times will require travel intrastate to connect with your Northern colleagues. You will be the central point of contact for managers and employees to seek information, advice, coaching and case management on a variety of technical subjects that span the entire employee lifecycle.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Providing timely HR/IR Advice, Coaching and Case Management Services
  • Shaping the development of a positive performance culture
  • Fair and consistent management of People processes and systems that add value and support Metro’s strategic direction
  • Relationship management
  • Management of targeted projects / interventions
