Are you known as a business savvy, service oriented HR professional with a commitment to accomplishing tangible business improvement?

We are looking for a People and Culture superstar with five+ years in a similar role to be a Business Partner for our Northern region Operations.

Systematic in your approach, you’ll be just as comfortable looking at the big picture while getting things done at an operational level. Reporting directly to the Manager People and Culture, you’ll be the face of the People Team in  the north and work closely with the Operations Manager, providing senior level, generalist HR coaching, advice and case management for our Northern Depots in ways that build capability in our line managers and uplifts workplace culture and employee relations.

The role is located in our Launceston Depot and will require you to work remotely from your People Team colleagues in Hobart. You will be the central point of contact for managers and employees in both Launceston and Burnie to seek information, advice, coaching and case management on a variety of technical subjects that span the entire employee lifecycle.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Fair and consistent management of People processes and systems that add value and support Metro’s strategic direction
  • Providing timely HR/IR Advice, Coaching and Case Management Services
  • Relationship management
  • Shaping the development of a positive performance culture
  • Management of targeted projects / interventions
