As Payroll Officer, you will play an important and integral part of the Finance team forming key relationships with the management team, employees and creditors.
Reporting to the Manager Finance you will be responsible for:
- Accurate and timely processing of end to end fortnightly payroll functions for 450+ employees
- Preparation of fortnightly, monthly and end of year payroll reconciliations and reports
- Administration of superannuation, union, taxation and other employee salary deductions
- Providing advice regarding legislative changes and employee agreements affecting employees
- Payroll analysis, review and exception reporting
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years sound payroll experience, in a large volume environment, and a strong understanding of employee agreements and Fair Work Australia requirements. Your excellent organisational skills will see you prioritise tasks and juggle competing demands; combined with a confident and proactive approach with the ability to work independently and make sound judgements. Your excellent written and verbal communication skills; combined with strong analytical, attention to detail and problem solving skills will see you excel in this position.
Intermediate to advanced experience in Microsoft Excel is essential with previous experience using the Chris 21 payroll system advantageous.
