Reporting to the Manager Service Delivery (North), the Operations Officer is responsible for coordinating daily bus services (including route, school and charter) and ensuring the highest possible compliance is met with regard to scheduled route services and customer expectations.
This full time role provides initial response, coordination and escalation of, all operational incidents and events ensuring compliance with Metro’s Critical Incident Management Plan and Metro procedures. This role also monitors the performance of service delivery and Bus Operators compliance with company procedures and policies as well as providing coaching and leadership to Bus Operators in their roles.
To excel in this role you will have demonstrated people leadership, customer service qualities and proven ability to supervise, coach and support others. You will have had experience in crucial and performance management conversations as well as having highly developed administrative and computer skills. Previous experience in a heavy vehicle or public transport industry would be highly regarded.
