At Metro we pride ourselves on providing outstanding customer service, and are looking for an enthusiastic Operational Support Coordinator to join our Launceston team.

Reporting to the Senior Operations Supervisor (Northern), this role will provide operational/clerical support for the Launceston and Burnie facilities.

Key duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • service external customers via phone and front counter at the Launceston Depot;
  • process Greencards, lost property and timetable enquiries;
  • coordinate operational events and projects as directed by the Senior Operations Supervisor (Northern);
  • manage internal communications including noticeboards and TIMS messaging system;
  • provide collated communicator submissions for Launceston and Burnie depots;
  • assist with all workers compensation and MAIB claims; and
  • coordinate with Operations regarding the planning and delivery of special events and road closures, including communication with external stakeholders.

  • high-level interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels;
  • the ability to deal with sensitive and confidential situations and information with diplomacy and tact.
