Metro Tasmania Pty Ltd is a state owned company established in 1998 that operates bus services in Hobart, Launceston and Burnie. Our vision is to be an attractive travel option contributing to an integrated public transport network in Tasmania.

Further to the establishment of a new position, Metro is seeking an experienced senior ICT professional to join our team, based at our Springfield Depot. Metro’s ICT systems are instrumental in our capacity to provide outstanding customer service, and this role will be central to ensuring their day to day availability, as well as shaping future directions in this critical area.

Key duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Support the ICT team in providing a high level of system availability and performance
  • Meet the changing needs of Metro’s internal and external customers, identifying opportunities for service improvement
  • Assist the General Manager in the local implementation of Metro’s Corporate Plan and other key corporate strategies.

To succeed in this role, you will bring outstanding technical and interpersonal skills – with experience in system administration desirable – including the ability to communicate effectively at all levels. Previous experience or an interest in public transport operations is also highly desirable.
