Metro is currently undergoing a cultural transformation program which aims to build business performance through the engagement and participation of our people. The People and Safety team is a newly created Department with oversight of the cultural and safety improvement change programs.
We have an opportunity for an HR professional to join our small, dynamic and multidisciplinary team in Hobart as an HR Advisor.
Reporting to the GM People and Safety, this role will suit a hands-on HR generalist who is looking to make their next career move and be involved in a culture change process.
Key duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Managing and coordinating the recruitment function for Metro
- Investigating and implementing best practice recruitment processes including on-line capabilities
- Designing contemporary organisational initiatives for Metro, including those related to learning and development, capacity building, succession and workforce planning, and leadership development programmes
- Providing an advisory and compliance service to Metro on HR issues
- Assisting in the development of HR strategies and programmes
