Metro is recruiting for a HSE Advisor.

The HSE Advisor is an integral role within the People and HSE team who will support, coach and mentor team members across Metro providing specialist HSE advice. By applying a caring and collaborative approach, the goal of the role is to ensure the continual and sustainable development of Metro’s safety culture, standards and performance. The accountabilities of the HSE Advisor will include but are not limited to:
• Be a strong team member who will innovate, develop and implement engaging, risk based HSE programs of work to suit Metro’s business needs.
• Actively and reliably engage in the field to help everyone understand and take ownership for identifying hazards and controlling risks, so they tangibly see and feel positive change through their actions.
• Reliably partner with other business units, operations and in the field, to deliver risk management improvements.
• Lead and communicate our legislative, regulatory and HSE Management System requirements, appropriately to our varied target audiences, including contractors.
• Participate and provide subject matter expertise to projects.
• Actively co-ordinate and provide leadership to Metro’s emergency management processes.

This is state-wide role and will require travel intra-state.
