Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the General Manager Operations leads and manages Metro’s on-road and engineering and infrastructure functions, and contributes to the achievement of Metro’s corporate plan goals. This role is pivotal in ensuring Metro has an engaged and productive workforce at the frontline delivering passenger transport services, in a period where our business is experiencing continued growth and change.
You will work closely with your team to ensure the services provided by Metro are customer focused and reflect our commitment to put safety first. Your leadership will be instrumental in the business making the most of its human capital, fleet, and asset base.
As a member of Metro’s Executive Management Team, you will also be responsible for implementing our broader strategic agenda, and fostering the consultative culture which underpins our performance and success.
To excel in this role, you will have senior management experience, ideally in public transport or a related sector, and a relevant tertiary qualification. You will have demonstrated your capacity to manage significant projects and achieve positive outcomes at executive level, inclusive of a strong track record as a safety leader.
