We are looking for enthusiastic customer service focused, Full-Time, Permanent Part-Time and Casual Bus Operators to join our team in Hobart.

  • No experience is necessary, as full training given, including obtaining a Heavy Rigid and Public Passenger Vehicle Licence.

  • Shift and weekend penalty rates are paid where applicable

As the face of Metro you will represent the organisation with your friendly, professional approach. You’ve been described as energetic and proactive and you thrive in a fast-paced setting. You love working with people, providing exceptional customer service with your effective communication.

A current standard driving licence is essential, as well as having or progressing toward Working with Children Registration and a current National Police Certificate (date of issue within six months). Metro employees must also comply with our Drug and Alcohol Management Procedure, which includes passing an initial pre-employment test and ongoing random tests throughout employment.

Interviews will take place the week commencing 29 January 2018 with pre-employment medicals, being undertaken the following week.  Successful applicants will then undertake an intensive full-time 5 week paid training programme, which will commence on 26 February 2018.  These dates are set, and cannot be changed, applicants should only apply if they are available for these dates.
