About the Opportunity
If you’re looking to continue building your career and be part of Tasmania’s public transport future, we have an exciting opportunity for you as a workshop Diesel Mechanic. Working on our modern fleet of buses, you’ll be responsible for all aspects of bus maintenance, including scheduled and unscheduled servicing, diagnosis, reporting, and repair of vehicle faults.
About You
Are you ready for your next adventure? Energetic and positive, looking to upskill in zero-emission vehicles? Here’s what you’ll need:
- Trade qualification as a heavy vehicle mechanic (4th-year apprentices may be considered) or Australian trade recognition
- Driver’s license (HR desirable)
- Ability to work autonomously within a great team environment
- Attention to detail and excellent time management
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to record all parts used
- Positive attitude, ready to hit the ground running
- Willingness to work on a 6-week rotating roster with multiple days off
