An amazing opportunity is available for an experienced people leader to join the Executive Leadership Team at Metro Tasmania.

The Chief People Officer will:

  • work closely with the newly appointed CEO and Executive Team to provide strategic and operational expertise on all people related matters within Metro Tasmania;
  • lead Metro Tasmania’s People Division consisting of People & Culture, Health Safety & Wellbeing, Learning & Development together with overall responsibility of organisational Culture & Values; and
  • act as Confidant to the CEO.

In addition, the Chief People Officer will:

  • develop and implement Cultural Transformation in all People areas with particular emphasis on employee engagement, performance management, learning & development, industrial relations and health, safety & wellbeing;
  • build a positive and productive working relationship with Union officials, ensuring compliance with all workplace legislative instruments; and
  • develop, drive and lead a safety performance culture across the business.

A key to success of this position will be to mentor, coach and grow the People Division.  The role will provide authoritative advice, support and direction to all Executives, Managers and in excess of 500 employees based throughout Tasmania.
