About the Opportunity
At Metro, our vision is to make the journey better for all Tasmanians.
Our bus drivers are at the heart of our journey to connect communities and enhance the public transport experience. If you’re passionate about customer service and like the idea of an ever-changing office view, we want you to join our team.
About you
Can you drive a car? We’ll teach you to drive a bus!
If you’ve had a current, full Australian driver’s licence for at least 2 years and you have full working rights in Australia, our six-week, paid training course will teach you all the skills you need – and at the end, you will graduate with your Heavy Rigid licence.
We will also organise and pay for the following to get you on the road:
- A National Police Check from Tasmania Police.
- Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP).
- A pre-employment physical assessment, including a Drug and Alcohol test.
- A Public Passenger Vehicle (PPV) licence.
Have your medium rigid licence already? We encourage you to apply and can upgrade you too.
